I've been working on the railroad....

The last weekend we were in NM, the kids and I got a little restless so we went down to Grandpa-Russel's job site with great-grandpa in tow. Well, apparently the child labor laws are a little looser in New Mexico. It only took a few minutes before Kade and Payton were hauling trash outside and putting it into the loader. I caught some of it with my HTC Touch cellphone camera (really, I am not sure how we all lived without cellphone cameras to capture all those impromptu moments). Anyway, they had a blast helping out...and Robert was a great sport (the guy in the picture). They were even a little disappointed when the cleaning was over...how crazy is that. For the record, Grandpa did not pay them for their labor.....unless you consider all the toys he spoiled them with ;-)

Welcome Back Mr. Carter

So after a loong break, we are finally back in Costa Rica. So much has happened it is overwhelming...but I will try to piece things together as we go.

First, the kiddos were very happy to be back in their home again. Here is a picture of Payton the first week back. Both kids were majorly wiped out from all the traveling and excitement of Albunukie. As you can see...Payton barely even got into bed before falling asleep.

Second, I will give you a recap of a very important conversation in our house this past weekend:

Kade enters the living room in the morning - still wearing his PJs and pull-up from the night before...

Jen: "Wow Kade, your pull-up is really full we should take that off"
Kade: "It is my peenus mommy"
Mom (laughing): "That sounds like something your daddy would say"
Dad (laughing): "That-a-boy!"
Payton (laughing - just cause we all were)

Glad to be back.
